Individual Consultations For Moms and Moms To Be Can't attend a seminar but want access to the information? Book an individual consultation with Kim Vopni and have a certified pre/post natal fitness consultant and personal trainer all to yourself! ‘Prepare To Push’ Consultation - For Expectant Moms Having a baby changes your body. Many of these changes you will learn about in your pregnancy books, prenatal classes and from friends. Some things however, are often overlooked and leave many new moms saying ‘why didn’t anyone tell me about this!?’ Things like lingering back pain, a flat bum and poor posture, incorrect breathing patterns, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse – all signs of a dysfunctional inner core. Your inner core is made up of your pelvic floor, your transversus abdominis (the deepest abdominal muscle), your multifidus (in your low back) and your diaphragm (for breathing). This core unit needs to be trained and prepared for pregnancy and childbirth or you may be left with pain, leaking and/or unsupported internal organs. During the prepare to push consultation you will learn how to prevent diastasis recti (separation of the outermost abdominal muscles), what positions are best to birth in to protect your pelvic floor and prevent tearing, and what muscles you need to strengthen to help push your baby out effectively and recover more quickly. We will show you the exercises that are best during pregnancy and as a new mom that will help you get back to your pre-baby body with a functional core. The EPI-NO will be discussed as an option to help best prepare your pelvic floor for childbirth and is available for 15% off. Consultations are scheduled in your home, over the phone or on SKYPE. Please allow for 1.5 hours. Cost: in-home - $95 plus HST, Phone or Skype - $75 plus HST Contact Us to book your consultation
‘Restore Your Core’ Consultation - For Moms of Any Age You’ve had your baby and, well, things have changed. Your posture is a little off, your bum is flat as a pancake, your back aches, you leak when you laugh and your tummy won’t budge! Pregnancy and childbirth are miraculous but they can also wreak havoc on your body – especially the abdominals and pelvic floor. The restore your core consultation is designed to educate you on the best way to get back to being functionally fit without leaking, pain or a muffin top. You’ll gain insight into and be tested for diastasis recti – the unknown reason why so many moms struggle with losing their tummy after pregnancy. Your deep core function will be assessed and you’ll learn what exercises are best to help get your body back and of course what exercises to avoid (and you’ll probably be shocked to learn what they are)! You will take away knowledge that many women simply don’t know about how to flatten your tummy. The exercises can be incorporated immediately into your daily life and regular workout routine. Consultations are scheduled in your home and typically take 1.5 hours. Because a predominant portion of the consultation is a hands-on deep core assessment and exercise prescription, Phone and Skype sessions are not available. Follow up sessions are scheduled as needed.
